- The Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, shared this information during a virtual meeting with commissioners of education in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
- The cognitive and verbal reasoning tests are designed to evaluate candidates’ academic potential, career suitability, as well as mental and physical capacity.
- Unlike traditional subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Government, or Physics, these tests will focus on intelligent assessments of candidates’ current cognitive skills.
- The test components will include verbal, abstract, mechanical, and numerical reasoning, along with data checking and work sampling.
- During the registration process, Direct Entry (DE) candidates are required to provide essential information, including the matriculation number of the previous school attended, subject of qualification, institution attended, year of graduation, and admission letter where necessary.
This change signifies JAMB’s commitment to enhancing the evaluation process, providing a more comprehensive assessment of candidates’ abilities beyond academic subjects. Candidates are urged to prepare for these intelligent tests and ensure they fulfill the specified registration requirements.
